Invisible and visible wounds ranging from Post-Traumatic Stress to Traumatic Brain Injury, and amputations to burns, impacts one’s mind and physical well-being. The combination of physical and psychological pain endured by these individuals can often result in a loss of identity, mobility, independence, and mental stability.
Those advocating for their care, championing for their recovery, all while family planning and managing finances can lead to caregiver burnout. The men and women who served alongside their Patriot, are now transitioning too. So where do Patriots and Caregivers go from here? This is where Patriots Cove steps in to aid Patriots and Caregivers heal and adapt to life after service.
Your donation ensures delivery of our events, activities and projects. The Outdoor Program includes trout fishing, fly-tying, and other events to help Patriots heal their emotional and physical wounds. The Caregiver Community Program includes respite activities and educational sessions to equip and empower military and veteran caregivers to cope with the reality of caring for a wounded Patriot and preventing burnout. Our Environmental Service Program puts veterans, first responders and members of the community to work on improvements projects to restore the Beaver Run waterway and build habitat for native brook trout.
